We were sad to leave London, and especially Aunt Emily, but also looking forward to being home. After the 11 + hour flight, we made it to San Francisco. We arrived at 3:00 pm SF time, but felt like it was midnight. By the time we got to our hotel, we tried to stay awake as long as we could, but were out cold by 7:15. I'm not sure I have ever fallen asleep that fast.
And, the last leg of the journey, the drive home. You know you're close to home when you get stopped repeatedly for roadwork.
