Some of the highlights:
The Tower of London
Next, we were ready for some lunch. We had been wanting kebabs, and on the recommendation of Emily, she took us to this delicious place in the Southbank which had great Greek food, and wouldn't make our insides hurt (per Emily).
Next, and a couple of trains later, we were in Greenwich, home of many great stores and pubs, as well as this wonderful candy store. Emily has been brining me these boiled sweets every time she comes back to the states, in blackcurrant, which can only be found in London, at this place. I've looked to order these yummy sweets online, but nope, not available. This sweetshop was smaller than I expected, but for British and very cute. We stocked up on a huge bag of my favorite blackcurrant boiled sweets, and a few other British candy treasures. The other candy that has blackcurrant- British Skittles where the purple are not grape flavored, but blackcurrant.
We were pretty exhausted and found a patch of grass in front of the Cuttysark where Emily read to the kids from the Hobbit.
We wandered into a Waterstone's bookshop and had fun perusing the shelves. The kids especially liked being on these stools to reach the higher levels.
Tomorrow, we leave London and head north via train to Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm looking forward to the train ride so we can see some of the country, and take a break from a lot of walking.
