The Driving in Scotland

Today, we picked up our car in Edinburgh to begin our driving tour of Scotland.  I was extremely nervous, but Matt did a great job.  It's hard to remember that inside turns are when you go left and outside turns when you go right.  And that the turn signal is on the right and windshield wiper is on the left.  We were able to see many small towns around Scotland as well as a number of Lochs.  We are staying at a beautiful lodge on the shore of Loch Lomond.  While the view is beautiful, the wifi is not, so here are a few of my fav pics from today:


We found this adorable hat for John. 

We stopped along the road and were able to feed the Highland cows.  They liked potatoes and carrots. 


We all wanted to try the popular Scottish soda, the IrnBru.  Emily described it as orange bubble gum.  Glad we tried it, but no thanks.
We persuaded the kids to go swimming in Loch Lomond.  It didn't last long, very cold.  Like the polar bear plunge they said.
